Radar Festival Interviews: Tiberius
Part of an ongoing interview series with artists playing Radar Festival 2023 (28th-30th July), we’ve put together a short list of questions for a handful of artists to provide some insight into bands you might not be yet familiar with. With Sleep Token, Igorr, and Periphery headlining, you can buy a ticket, and find more information about the festival on their website https://radarfestival.co.uk/
Firstly, how are you doing?
We’re good thank you, itching to be back at RADAR!
How far are you travelling to get to the festival?
The majority of us are coming down from Edinburgh and one of us from Landaannn, so about 460 miles will be travelled in total!
Tell us a little bit about your latest/upcoming release (delete as applicable)
We have a new album in the works, but it’s all under wraps just now. If you want to hear some of it sooner though, you’ll have to catch our set at RADAR where we’ll be playing one of the upcoming singles. It’s about the various right-wing pundits that people listen to religiously. For the avoidance of all doubt, it’s not flattering!
What one song/ep/album should we listen to before coming along to the show?
Give Leviathan from our album A Peaceful Annihilation a spin!
What can we expect from your live show, are you bringing something special to Radar this year?
Our unwritten rule when we play live is “get real weird with it”, which takes on various forms with every show, and YES, we’ll be playing some brand new music for you.
What merch are you going to have on offer?
We’ve got some tees and sweatshirts we’ll be bringing along with us. We can’t bring everything though so check out our Bandcamp for our whole range of wares.
Recommend three other bands that our readers should check out on the Radar Festival lineup
Definitely Forager & AA Williams who are both playing the Friday, and go check out Long Distance Calling too!
What band would you like to see on Radar’s lineup in 2024?
Karnivool…. so good to see them back in the UK earlier this year, and they can’t come back quick enough! Or Moontooth, they’re a dream band for us to tour with and getting them booked for a UK festival might make that more of a reality!
Thanks to Tiberius! We can’t wait to catch them live at Radar Festival this year. Are you going?
