Leprous release new single ‘Distant Bells’
Leprous have released another single for their upcoming album ‘Pitfalls’, the followup to ‘Malina’ .
‘Distant Bells’ shows Einar at his most raw. His vocal control is outstanding in this track. The strings provide a thick texture to accompany, with percussive elements that sound inspired from 90s jungle.
The track later explodes into a beautifully constructed and emotional climax which caught me off guard.
Leprous as an entity have superb compositional skills that are truly being showcased throughout the singles that have been released so far for ‘Pitfalls’.
I’m very much looking forward to the full record release, and seeing them on tour later this year.
